Llagostera is a quiet village that offers the serenity and beauty of a natural setting between the protected areas of Les Gavarres and the Massís de Cadiretes. It also serves as a gateway to the spectacular Costa Brava. Llagostera boasts an extensive architectural heritage, part of which is listed as an Asset of Cultural Interest, including its historic town walls. Strolling through its streets, you will find modernist and noucentista style buildings and other vestiges of the economic splendour that arose from the cork industry in the 19th and 20th centuries, making up what is known as the Architectural Route.
The Costa Brava, with its beautiful beaches and coves, is just a few minutes’ drive away: Platja d’Aro, with its white sandy beach and shops open all year round, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, s’Agaró, Sant Antoni de Calonge, Palamós, etc…. A world of natural and cultural beauty awaits to be explored at your fingertips”.
